PSALMS OF PSALMS

MY BELOVED

O there it is - the voice of my beloved;
Look, he comes - leaping upon the mountains, bounding over the hills.
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. stout and mighty, look; here he is, standing over the walls, beyond the prison gates - gazing in at my window of mirrors, looking through my lattice-

My beloved speaks and says to me " Arise my love, my fair one and come away"
O his voice as a million wonder, thundering through my whole being, awakening me, soothing me and strengthening me.

How i have missed you, my beloved, how i have dreamt countless times that you will come and take me with you. From a far country, you have come in search of me, my heart have traveled to the far country to beg you to come.

O my beloved, my dearest shield and buckler - my banner, my ivory tower, set a seal upon my heart, please - set a seal upon my heart and upon my arm that i may never again lose you.

Kiss me O dearest one, with the kisses of your lips, for your love is stronger than death, its a passion fiercer than the grave, its flashes are the flashes of fire, a consuming flames of light - and truth and life, consume me, my dearest consume.

Many waters, my love, cannot quench it, neither can a hurricane drown it. It is fierce, it is delightful - it is sweet, it is ecstasy.

Your countenance overwhelms me, your eyes is as the springs of sheerbrooks
Caress me, till i am full of you, don't stop O my beloved don't stop till i am fully yours.

I love my beloved.
